We are seeking an individual who is energetic, team-oriented and looking to gain business experience in the logistics and supply chain industry. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, organized and able to prioritize multiple activities while providing superior service and a friendly attitude to our clients.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities

  • Ensure carrier compliance with customer requirements
  • Handle customer shipment routing requests, and assign approved service provider for transportation based on carrier matrix and other factors
  • Respond to customer issues to ensure satisfaction
  • Strive for continuous improvement and identify opportunities to increase efficiency in all operations
  • Assist logistics manager and team members on miscellaneous projects as needed
  • Develop knowledge of all modes of transportation
  • Ability to multi-task and manage hundreds of emails per day in a professional manor
  • Negotiate market competitive rates with carriers to provide the best service and savings

Qualifications & Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • In lieu of specific education – 2 to 3 years’ logistics technology experience
  • Strong Communication Skills
  • Ability to function in a team-based environment
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload
  • Ability to use creativity and judgment to make decisions

Preferred Skills

  • Familiar with TMS and it’s functionalities
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • Self-motivation
  • Excellent customer service and multitasking skills
  • Experience with MercuryGate is a plus
