Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities

The Carrier Sales Representative position is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with partner carriers, negotiating freight rates, and monitoring carrier performance on Sheer’s freight shipments.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Identify and secure carriers for customer freight shipments
  • Negotiate market competitive rates with carriers to ensure profitability
  • Collaborate with Sales and Account teams to schedule appointments and monitor carrier performance
  • Develop long term partnerships with carriers based on respect and collaboration
  • Provide valuable market condition updates to company Sales and Account teams, including seasonal increases and other variances

Logistics industry experience is required as well as understanding of industry market conditions and other relevant trends. Minimum Qualifications

  • Logistics Industry Experience (2+ years), preferably in a Carrier Sales role
  • Understanding of Multiple Freight Modes
  • Strong Negotiation Skills
  • CRM experience
  • Computer Literate (TMS systems, Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent industry experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Team Player / Collaborator
  • High energy
